I took this image as a group of armed rangers stopped to talk to the caretakers for Fatu and Najin, the last two remaining northern white rhinos left in the world, while patrolling the grounds of Ol Pejeta Conservancy. If I had to sum up this story in one image this would be it, the gun is so telling about the serious threat poachers pose to not just the life of the rhinos but to the rangers as well.
