Nu's Story | A Child In Isolation
I met Nu 10 years while she was rocking back and forth humming the same tune beneath the staircase at the Friendship Village in Hanoi, Vietnam. Nu is blind, mostly deaf, mute, and autistic. She is thought to be a victim of 3rd generation Agent Orange because of her grandfather's exposure to the defoliant during the Vietnam War. Nu lives a life in isolation for the most part as she can't communicate to the outside world. To follow Nu's story or to volunteer at the Friendship village please visit the Facebook page we've created for her here.
